The parameter values are displayed in bold fonts when they have been explicitly set; otherwise the fonts remain normal. Changed parameters can be reset to their default value by means of the Reset to Default command in the context menu.

Parameters in red fonts have to be set by the user because otherwise an error is displayed when created.

In online mode, the Online Value column is visible and the current value is displayed. If you change the value of the parameter in the Value column, then the value is also changed on the controller. Use the Use Online Values command to copy the current online value to the Value column and as a result to use it as the parameter value of the module instance in the module tree.

In general, parameter values are displayed and edited in the syntax for IEC literals (example: parameter value of type TIME as t#7s35ms.

After a parameter is changed, the Generate command has to be executed to create the project again.

If you have changed any parameter values in the module instances in online mode, then you can use the Differing parameter values command to get a list of the changed parameters in the Messages view. Double-clicking this kind of message opens the parameter dialog for the affected module instance where the changed parameter values are indicated by a red frame.
