FUNCTION BACnetIAmEx : IEC_BACNET_STATUS
Sends an I-Am request.
Sends a BACnet I-Am service message to a local or remote network. This routine may execute the I-Am service without using the device instance. To locate the destination it uses the destination address.
- InOut:
- Scope - Name - Type - Comment - Return - BACnetIAmEx- Input - pSourceAddress- POINTER TO IEC_BACNET_ADDRESS - If the BACnet application has only one device constructed and installed, this can be NULL. In this case the MAC address of this device will be used. Otherwise this shall be the MAC address returned on device object construction. - pDestinationAddress- POINTER TO IEC_BACNET_ADDRESS - This is the MAC address of the device to which the request should be sent. - pIAmInfo- POINTER TO IEC_BACNET_I_AM_INFO - A pointer to the service information data structure which contains information about the source device: the Device Instance Number and the values of three Device object Properties (max APDU length, segmentation supported, and vendor identifier).
