Library: SafetyPLCopen
Identification of the library described here: SafetyPLCopen, 1.1.1.0 (system)
Basis: PLCopen TC5: Safety Software, Part 1: Concepts and Function Blocks, Version 1.0, Jan. 2006
The PLCopen function blocks (prefixed with SF_
) have been defined by the PLCopen organization together with its members and external organizations dealing with safety-oriented aspects. These function blocks are certified and as a result reduce the time and costs in the development, verification, and acceptance of a safety application. Similar to a logical wiring, the blocks can be linked to each other by logical operations. Thus, important components of a safety application can be created quickly and without much programming effort.
For information describing the individual PLCopen FBs in more detail, see the PLCopen "Technical Committee 5 – Safety Software" specification version which is current at the time of certification.
Tip
PLCopen FBs can be used only in programs and function blocks where Single call is set (see: FB calls).
