License Server – Redundancy

To ensure stable license availability, you can use redundant network licenses. There are two different ways to do this.

Configuration of multiple license servers

This configuration involves configuring two or more license servers which must be installed on different devices. The license containers must also exist multiple times and be exclusively accessible to each license server.

Easy configuration
Cost-effective

. Disadvantages:

Multiple purchases of the same license are necessary (separately for each license server).

TMR Server

Wibu offers a product called Codemeter TMR Server. This product provides a highly available solution for data centers.

Important

CODESYS standard licenses are not pre-configured for TMR Servers. These licenses cannot be used here. Special licenses must be issued for the TMR Server so that the licenses can be distributed across 3 containers.
