Command: Synchronize

Symbol: cas_icon_synchronize.png

Function: The command synchronizes the project on the CODESYS Automation Server with the project open in the CODESYS Development System.

Call: CODESYS menu: Project → Automation Server

Requirement:

  • The CODESYS Automation Server Connector package is installed.

  • In the CODESYS project, which already exists on CODESYS Automation Server, changes have been made in CODESYS.

If the project on the Automation Server has a more recent status than the project in CODESYS, then a dialog asks whether a project comparison should be performed between the two project statuses. When you click Yes for this dialog, the Synchronize dialog opens to select the project version on the Automation Server, with which the project version in CODESYS should be compared. After confirming this dialog, the Project Compare – Differences view opens where you can apply differences in the project version to the project in CODESYS. For detailed information about the project comparison, see the chapter "Command: Compare" chapter in the CODESYS help.

If the project in CODESYS is more recent than the project on the Automation Server, then the Commit to Server dialog opens, where a Commit Message is specified. When you click OK in this dialog, this version of the project, the project archive, and the boot applications are transferred to the server.
