CodeMeter License Central WebDepot

The CodeMeter License Central WebDepot is a web-based application that lets you transfer licenses to a soft container or to the CODESYS Key.

. The WebDepot is used for the following two use cases:

  1. Online activation: The WebDepot establishes a direct connection to a local computer. As a result, you can only use the WebDepot to install licenses on the local computer (soft container) or to activate a CODESYS Key (CmDongle) connected locally on the computer. The license is always activated on the local CodeMeter Runtime. In the WebDepot, it is not possible to license a PLC via SSH. You should use the License Manager to do this.

  2. Offline activation: In the WebDepot, it is possible to transfer the license offline to another computer or CODESYS Key by downloading a license file. For more information about how to license devices offline, see the following: How To: Activate a license offline.
