Element: Action

The Action element is used to add an action to a program or function block directly in a class diagram. It does not have any properties.

Description

  1. In the ToolBox view, select the Action _uml_icon_action.png element.

  2. In the editor, click a suitable element, or drag the action to one.

    The Add Action dialog opens.

  3. Specify a name and implementation language for the action.

  4. Click Add to exit the dialog.

The cursor is displayed as a _uml_cursor_not_allowed.png prohibition symbol at insertion locations which are not permitted.

The cursor is a _uml_cursor_allowed.png blue cross at permitted locations.

When the dialog is closed, this action is added to the object. This is shown both in the class diagram and in the Devices or POUs view.
