Preparation of Planned Devices

Only controllers and field devices that are recognized in CODESYS can be programmed and configured. For programming the machinery, corresponding device descriptions have to be installed for all controllers and field devices from the overall planning, and the respective libraries if possible. For more information about overall planning, see the "Safety User Manual".

In the device repository, you can view the device types already installed and install missing ones. For more information, see: Device Management. In the library repository, you can view the libraries already installed and install missing ones. However, you can also install devices and libraries at a time later if necessary.
