Tab: Redundancy Settings: Fieldbus Settings
The tab is used to configure the fieldbus for redundant operation.
Read | Reads into the dialog the current settings of the redundancy link for PLC 1 |
Write | Transfers the available settings of the redundancy link on both devices |
EtherCAT |
|
Important
EtherCAT is a hard real-time-capable fieldbus protocol. The properties of the network adapter must be configured exactly and correctly. The NIC settings for the adapter must be set correctly on both PLCs. You need to verify this.
You can use the Browse button to automatically search for the respective PLC.
EtherCAT Master NIC settings | The EtherCAT Master NIC settings determine which network adapter is used for EtherCAT communication and how this adapter behaves in EtherCAT operation. |
Source address (MAC) PLC 1 | The source address (MAC) PLC 1 is the main port of the network adapter of PLC 1. It corresponds to the EtherCAT Master address. |
Source address (MAC) PLC 1 redundancy | The source address (MAC) PLC 1 redundancy is the redundancy port of the network adapter of PLC 1. |
Source address (MAC) PLC 2 | The source address (MAC) PLC 2 is the main port of the network adapter of PLC 2, which is used for EtherCAT. It differs from the address given above. |
Source address (MAC) PLC 2 redundancy | Source address (MAC) PLC 2 redundancy is the redundancy port of the network adapter of PLC 2. |
Browse | Clicking the button will scan the network adapter. Then the Select Network Adapter dialog opens with the search results. The dialog shows all available network adapters. The IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, and MAC address are displayed for each adapter. Select the desired one. For more information, see the following: EtherNet Adapter – General |
