Troubleshooting
When errors occur, you should always examine the log file first. This is located in the %AppData%/CODESYS CML/logs/CML.log
directory.

The CODESYS Mass Licenser does not start. | Check that the configuration file has been created and the syntax of the entries is correct. Check that a text file for the licenses exists in the specified location. This text file does not have to contain a license to start the CODESYS Mass Licenser. |
A device is in an error state. | Disconnect the device, wait one minute, and reconnect it. After that, the CODESYS Mass Licenser will run through the process again. At this time, no new license is spent. As soon as the license has been activated, an update file is automatically saved which the CODESYS Mass Licenser can use to restore the spent license for this device. If the device returns to the error state after being unplugged and plugged in again, then check that the product codes in the configuration file for the respective licenses are correct. If the licensing operation does not finish even after the correction, then check whether or not there is a context file for the respective device in the If the license has been installed correctly and only the subsequent comparison between installed licenses and the incorrect configuration are different, then the corrected configuration and the removal of the context file should now correctly validate the licensing. |
No more licenses available | If you see the following error message, then there are no more license tickets in the respective text file which can be activated. To continue licensing, fill the text file with new license tickets.

The CODESYS Mass Licenser does not display any devices. | Check that your CODESYS Edge Gateway is installed and currently running. If so, then check the following entries in the configuration file:
