Command: Connect to Server
Symbol:
Function: The command establishes the connection from the CODESYS Development System to the CODESYS Automation Server and uploads the project with the project archive to the Automation Server. For all applications of the project, the command creates the boot applications and uploads them to the Automation Server. If compile errors or other errors occur when creating the boot applications, then the command is aborted.

Requirement:
The CODESYS Automation Server Connector package is installed.
A CODESYS project is open which has not yet been located on the CODESYS Automation Server.
Important
Applications from the following PLCs are not supported by the CODESYS Automation Server:
PLCs which require a "compact download". In particular, these are embedded and mini PLCs without a file system.

CODESYS Safety for EtherCAT Safety Module PLCs

Project name | Name of the project on the CODESYS Automation Server |
Existing project | The list box shows the projects that are already available on the Automation Server. When you select an existing project here, a dialog prompt opens first to ask you whether or not you really want to commit to an already committed project. If you click OK to acknowledge the dialog, the current project on the server is committed as a new commit of the existing project selected here. |
Refresh | Refreshes the Existing project list box |
Commit message | Required This message is displayed with the project on the CODESYS Automation Server. |
Archived Elements | List of the files contained and referenced in the project.
This list corresponds to the list in the Project Archive dialog of the Save/Send Archive command in the CODESYS help. It is mandatory that the download information is added. |
