Command: Compare with Server

Symbol:

Function: The command opens the Compare with Server dialog to select the version of the project on the Automation Server, with which the project currently open in CODESYS is compared. If there are differences between the two project states, then the Project Compare view opens in CODESYS.

Call:

CODESYS menu: Project → Automation Server
Context menu of the project in the device tree in CODESYS

Requirement:

The project is connected to the Automation Server.
The project is open in CODESYS.

New Project
Name	Name of the project open in CODESYS
Location	Location of the project open in CODESYS
Automation Server
Server URL	List box for the URL of the CODESYS Automation Server When you click the Unlock Selection button, the URL of another Automation Server can be selected in the list box.
Refresh	Refreshes the table showing the projects and their versions located on the selected Automation Server
Table for selecting the version of the CODESYS project on the Automation Server with which the project open in CODESYS will be compared. The following information is displayed: Project name on the Automation Server ID Modified on Message
Unlock Selection	The default selection by CODESYS of the Server URL and the project on the Automation Server is canceled. The URL of another Automation Servers can be selected in the Server URL list box. The table with the display of the project is updated.
OK	CODESYS compares the two selected projects. If differences are found in the comparison, then the Project Compare view opens in CODESYS. For information about the displayed differences, see the CODESYS help.
