View: Topology Views

Function: With the view, you can display the PLCs entered on the Automation Server and their network topology in a freely selectable screen.

Call: CODESYS Automation Server → PLCs

+ New Topology View	Opens the Create Topology View dialog.
List of topology views
Info	Shows information about the selected topology view
Edit	Opens the Edit Topology View window
Icons	Opens the Manage Topology Icons dialog In the dialog, you can select and upload an image from the file directory. Then this image is available as a custom icon when you select an icon for an element of the topology view via the Properties view.
Delete	Opens the Delete Topology View dialog for prompting whether the selected topology view should be deleted
Permissions	Opens the <topology view> Permissions dialog to grant permissions for access to the topology view For more information, see: <object> Permissions

Name	Name for the new topology view
Description	Optional description
Image	Select Image: Opens the default Upload File dialog for selecting a background image for the topology view : Deletes the selected background image
Create	Creates and opens the new topology view

Table 27. Edit Topology View View

Name	Name of the topology view Editable
Description	Input field for a description of the topology view
Image	Opens the default Upload File dialog for selecting a background image for the topology view
	Deletes the background image
Background color	: The background color can be changed. Clicking in the underlying field, which shows the currently selected background color, opens the Color dialog to select a color. : The background color cannot be changed.
Navigation
PLC	When you drag this item to the topology view, you position a PLC in the topology view.
PLC group	When you drag this item to the topology view, you position a PLC group in the topology view.
Topology view	When you drag this item to the topology view, you position the reference to another topology view in the topology view.
	Opens the Delete Topology View dialog for prompting whether this topology view should be deleted
Save	Saves the current topology view and opens the Topology Views window
Cancel	Cancels the editing of the topology view

Table 28. View: Properties

Requirement: The open topology view contains at least one element.
Name	Name of the selected element
Description	Input field for a description
Size	Specified as a percentage or set via the slider
Icon	Opens the Select Topology Icon dialog for selecting a default icon or a custom icon
Installed PLC	Requirement: A PLC is selected in the topology view. The Select PLC dialog opens. In the dialog, all PLCs are listed that are registered in the server.
New tag	Requirement: A PLC group is selected in the topology view. Input field for a tag for the PLC group
Topology view	Requirement: A topology view is selected in the topology view. The Select Topology View dialog opens. In the dialog, select the topology view that should be referenced.
