View: Visualization Toolbox

Function: The view provides the visualization elements which you can insert into the active visualization editor.

Call: View menu

Requirement: The visualization editor is active.

  4. Visualization element view

    You can drag an element from the view to the editor to add it to the active visualization there.

    To limit the element selection, you can filter the view by categories or by element names.

    • Slider bar to adjust the size of the thumbnails in the visualization element view

    • Text filter to search in the element names for the specified text

Enables single selection so that only the elements of one category are listed in the visualization elements view

Symbol: _visu_icon_tag_selection_type_multiple.png

Enables multiselection so that the elements of multiple categories are listed in the visualization elements view

Symbol: _visu_icon_manage_tags.png

The Configure Categories and Items opens.

Buttons with the element categories

A button is displayed for each defined element category. When the element category is enabled (green), the assigned elements are displayed in the visualization element view.

Shift + click on the category

Toggles between single selection and multiselection

Right click a category

Opens the context menu

Disable category

Hides the button

Enable Category

Filters by the active category (regardless of the selection type) and displays the elements of this category in the visualization element view

Disable Category

Hides the elements of this category in the visualization element view



Selection of visualization elements

The visualization elements are displayed as thumbnails and labeled with names. The selection depends on the search query in _visu_icon_searching.png or on the chosen buttons.

Filter for a text search by element name of all available elements

Number of visualization element items that are currently displayed as a result of the selected buttons and the search query in _visu_icon_searching.png.
