_visu_icon_new_style.png New HTML5 control

Opens the Create a New HTML5 Control dialog

_cds_icon_open_file.png Open

Opens the device selection dialog

Select an HTML5 control to edit there.

Close

Closes the control which is actively open in the editor

_visu_icon_save.png Save

Saves the changes in the description file

Save as

Opens the file selection dialog to save the HTML5 control under a new name

_visu_icon_save_install.png Save and Install

Saves and installs the HTML5 control

Recently opened files

Lists the most recently used HTML5 controls

Exit

Exits the _visu_icon_html5controls.png HTML5 Control Editor

Menu: HTML5 Control Editor

The commands of the menu affect the contents of the Control Properties tab.

Command: Add node

Symbol: _visu_icon_createnewsiblingentry.png

Function: Adds a new property at the end of the list

Call: HTML5 Control Editor menu

Double-click the new entry to open the input field so that you can specify a suitable name. After that, you can still position the property.

Command: Add child node

Symbol: _visu_icon_createnewchildentry.png

Function: Adds a new property to the selected category

Call: HTML5 Control Editor menu

Requirement: A category is selected in the list.

A new property is added to the category. Double-click the new entry to open the input field so that you can specify a suitable name. After that, you can still position the property.

Command: Add category node

Symbol: _visu_icon_createnewsiblingentrycategory.png

Function: Adds a new category at the end of the list

Call: HTML5 Control Editor menu

Double-click the new entry to open the input field so that you can specify a suitable category name. After that, you can position the category.

Command: Add child category node

Symbol: _visu_icon_createnewchildentrycategory.png

Function: Adds a new category to the selected category

Call: HTML5 Control Editor menu

Double-click the new entry to open the input field so that you can specify a suitable name.

Command: Add standard property node

Symbol: _visu_icon_AddStandardPropertyEntry.png

Function: Adds a standard property at the end of the list. Standard properties are properties which are also provided by other visualization elements.

Tip

For a clear design of the interface of the HTML5 control, we recommend that you define as few as possible default properties as parameters.

Double-click the new entry to open a list box so that you can select the desired standard property. Standard properties are highlighted in gray in the list because they are not changeable.

Command: Add all standard property nodes

Symbol: _visu_icon_add_all_standard_properties.png

Function: Adds all standard property nodes to the end of the list

Call: HTML5 Control Editor menu

Tip

For a clear design of the interface of the HTML5 control, we recommend that you define as few as possible default properties as parameters.

Standard properties are highlighted in gray in the list because they are not changeable. After that, you can still position the properties.

Command: Move node down

Symbol: _visu_icon_movedown.png

Function: Positions the selected entry down one position

Call: HTML5 Control Editor menu

Requirement: One or more entries are selected on the tree view.

Command: Move node up

Symbol: _visu_icon_MoveUp.png

Function: Positions the selected entry up one position

Call: HTML5 Control Editor menu

Requirement: An entry is selected in the tree view.

Command: Add interface description

Symbol: _visu_icon_add_frame_description.png

Function: Adds the Element description property at the top position

Call: Icon in the toolbar

There may be at most one element description in Control Properties. After that the command is inactive.

Menu: Localization

The commands affect the contents of the Localization tab.

_visu_icon_add_language.png Add Language

Opens the Add New Language dialog

The dialog prompts you to enter the translations for the names of the properties in the new language column.

_visu_icon_remove_language_red.png Remove selected language

Requirement: A cell is in focus.

Removes the column where the selected cell is located

Rename selected language

Opens the Rename Language dialog

Requirement: A cell is in focus.

The column where the cell is selected is renamed. This removes all previous translations.

Name

Name of the new language as a language code according to ISO 639-1

Examples: de, en, es, it, fr, ja, ch-ZHS

Copy from existing

All existing language columns are available for selection. The selected language is copied with all entered translations.

<do not copy text>: The new language receives a blank translation column.
