Dialog: Options: Visualization Styles

Function: The dialog is used for configuring the display of library visualizations and visualizations in the POU view in the visualization editor. In addition, it is used for configuring the tab Visualization ManagerSettings (Style Settings group).

Call: Tools → Options menu, Visualization Styles category

These settings are not applied at visualization runtime. At runtime, only the settings of the Visualization Manager are available on the Settings tab.

Note

Most options are applied to elements in the POU view and not generally to the device tree view.

Style Configuration for Libraries and Global Visualizations

Use no visualization style

_cds_icon_radiobutton_acitvated.png: Visualizations in the POUs view or from libraries behave as if no style had been selected.

Use the following visualization style

_cds_icon_radiobutton_acitvated.png: Visualizations in the POUs view or from libraries behave as if the selected style were active.

Derive visualization style automatically

_cds_icon_radiobutton_acitvated.png: Visualizations in the POUs view or from libraries derive the style configuration from the Visualization Managers of the current project. If this is not possible or the result is unclear, then the style selected below is used as a fallback solution.

Example: On the display variant, the automatically derived style results in a poor display due to the device.

Style selection

The Selected style list box can be configured in the Visualization Manager, on the Settings tab, in the Style Settings group.

Display all versions

_cds_icon_option_deactivated.png: All other styles of the repository, including the selected style, are listed for selection, but only in the latest version. If a newer versions are installed for the selected style, then they are also listed.

standard icon: All installed styles in all installed versions are available for selection.

Style that is selected automatically when you add a new visualization application

Note: It is actually possible that a display variant is displayed another way depending on the device despite this setting.
