Command: Execute Script

Symbol: _tm_icon_run_script.png

Function: The command opens the Execute Test dialog and then executes the test script. When you click _tm_img_testprogress.png in the taskbar during execution, the Test progress dialog opens.

When the test run is completed, a test report is generated and displayed. The test report is saved temporarily in the following folder: Test Manager view, Reports tab, Test reports → [Unsaved] category.

Call:

  • Test Manager menu

  • Context menu of a test script

Requirement:

  • The Test Manager view is open.

  • A test script is selected.

Name of the tester

Input field of the tester name

Create verbose report

standard icon: As additional information, the test report also contains the values for variable assignments in the following test elements: assignment, test script call, test action, choose (conditions). Disable this option if you want to save memory.

Start

The test script is started. The Test progress dialog can be opened by means of _tm_img_testprogress.png in the taskbar.



Tip

You can also execute test scripts from the command line.

You can use the Debug Script command for an debugging purposes.
