Command: Rotate Program

Function: The command opens the Rotation parameters dialog where the rotation of the CNC path is configured.

Call: CNC menu

Requirement: A CNC path is open in the editor.

Constraint

Rotating the CNC path is possible under the following conditions:

. No usage
  • of axis A, B, or C

  • of variables

Dialog: Rotation Parameters

Angle (degrees)

Angle of rotation (in degrees) about the Rotary axis.

Example:

Given

  • Rotation about the Z-axis

  • The X-axis points to the right, and the Y-axis points downwards. The viewing direction is against the rotary axis (right-hand rule).

For a negative value, rotation is performed clockwise. For a positive value, rotation is performed counterclockwise.

Axis of rotation

Selecting a rotary axis is possible only if the elements of the CNC path are all 3D elements.

No selection if the CNC path of one of the following elements includes:

  • G5 spline

  • Parabola

  • Ellipse

  • 2D arc

The rotary axis is defined by the parameters X, Y, and Z.

Default: X: 0, Y: 0, Z: 1 --> rotation about the Z-axis

X

Default: 0.00000

Y

Default: 0.00000

Z

Default: 1.00000

OK

The rotation is executed. The block numbers are assigned automatically.
