Interaction with Single-Axis Movements
Each axis of an axis group (including any additional axes) can also be moved with single-axis movements. This does not require the axis to be removed from the axis group. The following rules are used:
If the axis group is in the
GroupStandby
state when a single-axis movement is commanded on one of its axes, then the axis group remains in this state. For more information, see the following: Axis Group States
If the axis group is in the
GroupMoving
state when a single-axis movement is commanded on one of its axes, then the axis group switches to theGroupError
state. The errorSMC_AXIS_GROUP_INTERRUPTED_BY_SINGLE_AXIS
is reported and all other axes are stopped. If a movement is commanded on the axis group while a single-axis movement is active on at least one of its axes, then the axis group goes into the
GroupError
state.
