Command: Build

Shortcut: F11

Function: The command starts the build operation of the safety application if this is the currently active application.

Call: Build menu

Requirement: The safety application is the active application.

During the safety application building process, which cannot be aborted, the conditions of systematic errors as well as the formal programming guidelines are checked by the Safety Checker for this safety application and warnings and/or errors are displayed as necessary. (A list and a description of the error messages can be found in the Safety Error Messages chapter). They are displayed in the message view; the following information is displayed:

If the active application is a standard application, then the actions defined for CODESYS Standard are performed.

The safety application and the standard application are checked using the Build command.
