Object: F-Device Module (in the safety application)

Tip

For an exact description of the logical I/Os of F-Device modules, see Device Editor of Logical I/Os.

Tab: Safe Configuration

In the case of F-Device modules, the PROFIsafe address of the F-Module is defined on this tab. It consists of the two address parameters Source Address and Destination Address. The User Manual must be observed when assigning addresses.

Tab: 'I/O Mapping'

Each F-Device module has safe input and/or output channels over which the application can exchange safe signals with the F-Host (PROFIsafe master controller). The user can link the channels on the I/O Mapping tab of the editor of the logical I/Os to variables of the IEC application. These inputs and outputs of the I/O Mapping tab are interpreted as follows: Outputs of the F-Host are input signals to the IEC application of the PROFIsafe F-Device.
