Command: Insert Block

Shortcut: Ctrl+B
Function: The command inserts a block, which is available at the end of the selected network. When you drag the element from the toolbox to the implementation part, the plus symbol at the cursor (
) helps you recognize the possible insert positions.
Call: Ladder menu; context menu
The command inserts an EN/ENO block by default. The commands of the menu can be used to remove and add the EN and ENO modifiers.
Note
In the case of a function block defined in the project, the instance in the ladder diagram must be updated after a change to this block. To do this, use the Update Parameters command.
Command: Insert Block (parallel)
Shortcut: Ctrl+B
Function: The command inserts a block parallel into the network.
Call: Ladder menu; context menu
Requirements: In the ladder diagram, an insert position for a parallel connection is selected. This is a triangle which points downwards or upwards (
,
). Then when you open the menu or context menu, the Insert Block (parallel) command will be displayed instead of the Insert Block command.

If the block also provides an image file, then the block icon can be displayed inside the block. The requirement for this is that the Block icon option is enabled in the Ladder Editor (LD2) category of the CODESYS options.
