Command: Open Project Folder
Important
This command is only required for projects of the previous version 0.9.0.0.
Function: The command opens the explorer to select the project folder of a file-based project. The current project will be closed and the selected project will be opened.
Call: Optional command which can be displayed via the Tools menu → Adjust.
A workspace file (.fbsws) can also be loaded via the default Project dialog. The dialog provides a file filter for workspace files from CODESYS File-Based Storage.
There are also file-based projects without a workspace file. These are projects which have been created before the introduction of the workspace file. Because of this, they do not contain a .fbsws file. This kind of project can still be opened. To do this, use the Open Project Folder command and then select the project folder directly.
Tip
To open the project via a workspace file, you can create the workspace file one time using the Create Workspace File command. After that, the project will contain a .fbsws file and can be opened like any other file-based project.
Dialog: Select Project
If a workspace with more than one supported project is opened, then the Select Project dialog will be opened. Select the project to be opened and click OK to confirm. A workspace usually contains exactly one supported project and that project is opened directly.
