Command: Messages

Symbol: _cds_icon_messages.png

Function: The command opens the Messages view.

Call: View menu

View: Messages

Message category

The messages are categorized by component or functionality for selection from a list box. You select a category to filter the message display.

Message type

You click the symbol of the message type to show or hide messages. CODESYS displays the number of messages next to each symbol.

  • _cds_icon_error.png: Error

  • _cds_icon_warning.png: Warning

  • _cds_icon_info.png: Information

Deletes all messages in the selected message category

_cds_icon_messages_delete_all.png

Deletes all messages in all message categories

Description

Message text with the reported object and the location in the object

Double-click a message in the table to jump to the source text location.

Command icon: _cds_icon_three_dots.png

In the case of unresolved libraries, lists commands which can be used for a quickfix of the reported error

  • Update placeholder '<library>' to the newest version

  • Open "Placeholders" dialog of Library Manager

Name of the project that generates the message

Object

Object in which the message was generated

Position

Position in the code

Next Message

The source text position of the next message is displayed.

Previous Message

The source text position of the previous message is displayed.

The source text position of the selected message is displayed.
