Command: Edit IO mapping

Function: The command opens the Edit IO mapping view. This view shows all I/O mappings of the device object which is currently selected, including I/O mappings of all other device objects which are inserted in the device tree below this object.

View: Edit IO mapping

You can edit the I/O mapping in this dialog in exactly the same way as in the I/O Mapping dialog of the individual device editors. These other dialogs are directly updated accordingly.

Find

Input field for a string to search for in the mapping table

The search results are highlighted in yellow.

Filter

List box with filters for the I/O mappings displayed in the mapping table

Show all
Show only outputs
Show only inputs
Show only unmapped variables
Show only mapped variables
Show only mapping to existing variables
Show only mapping to new variables

In the context menu, you will find commands, including the following:

Export Mappings to CSV: Used to save the mappings of a device and its sub-devices in an external file

To do this, you select the device in the device tree or in the mapping list.

Import Mappings from CSV: Used to insert mappings from a file which was previously created by an export
