Configuration
For the integrated TCP/UDP protocol stack to be used by the runtime system, the corresponding network adapter driver has to be configured in the component list of the RTE. The driver in the configuration file of the RTE CODESYSControl_User.cfg
has to be entered in the segment [ComponentManager]
. All possible entries here are already preconfigured by the setup of the RTE and can be activated in the menu or by deleting the ";" at the beginning of the line. (Example for all 10/100/1000 Mbit network adapters from Intel: Component.xy=CmpEt1000Drv
)
Additional settings are not required. The network adapter configuration is taken and used by Windows. For the affected adapters, one of the SysEthernet network adapter drivers also has to be installed in the Windows Device Manager (see Available Dynamic Components).
The drivers of the network adapters register with the internal protocol stack and decide at runtime whether the internal protocol stack or Windows has to be used for the applied protocol.
