TCP/UDP Protocol Handler (SysSocketLwIP)

As of version 3.5.16.0, a TCP/UDP stack is integrated in the CODESYS Control RTE.

In the past, there were recurring problems with Ethernet-based fieldbuses which were based on protocol stacks (= protocol handlers) from Windows (example: EtherNet/IP, ModbusTCP). These fieldbuses could not reliably meet the expectations of a real-time system.

With the introduction of the internal protocol stack, the SysEthernet network adapter drivers (CmpEt100Drv, CmpEt1000Drv, CmpRTL813xMpd, CmpRTL8169Mpd, CmpCX5000Mpd) are no longer exclusively addressed by SysEthernet (or by IoDrvEtherCAT and IoDrvProfinet). Now they are also addressed by TCP/UDP the protocol stack for direct IP communication.
