Command: Update Edge Gateway

Function: The command opens the Edge Gateway view. In the view, you can install, start, and stop the Edge Gateway package (DEB file). Moreover, functionalities are provided at the system and runtime level that support you at commissioning and application development.

Call: Tools menu

IP address or name of the target device

Example: 192.168.99.39

Scan

Opens the Scan Edge Gateway dialog

All devices, which are currently connected in the network and correspond to the device type, are listed here with IP addresses and respective MAC address (in parentheses). The device type is identified by the MAC address.

Example: 192.168.123.123(BB:27:EB:FA:98:52)

Version	Version and architecture of the Edge Gateway to be installed Example: `V3.5.15.0 (amd64)`
Install	Starts the installation operation for the Edge Gateway package in the set version and architecture.
Remove	Removes the installation that is currently on the Linux device Then you can install any version.
Package directory	Folder where the Edge Gateway packages (`*.deb`) are located.

Install

Installs additional Linux packages onto the PLC or updates existing packages

Example: Wibu CodeMeter runtime package. You can download the package from the Wibu Systems homepage and use this command to install or update it on the PLC.

Manage

Opens a dialog that shows all installed packages with additional information

You can uninstall individual packages in this dialog.

Opens the System information <user name>@IP address dialog

Example: System information root@192.168.123.123

Reboot target

Restarts the system on the PLC
