Dialog: Options: CFC Editor

Function: Configures the settings for editing and printing in the CFC editor

Call: Tools → Options menu, CFC Editor category

Enable AutoConnect

standard icon: When you drag a CFC element into the editor area, unlinked pins which "touch" each other are automatically linked.

Note

Make sure that you do not create unwanted connections when moving elements.

Display grid points

standard icon: In the editor, grid points are displayed where you can position the elements.

Show block icon

standard icon: Existing function blocks which are linked to a bitmap are displayed as a symbol in the editor area.

Requirement: You have either created the link for a function block or a function in the object properties or loaded it by means of a library.

Edit Line Colors

Opens the Edit Line Colors dialog. There you can define the colors for the connecting lines depending on the applied data type. The lines are then displayed in these colors in offline and online mode.

Tip

The exception, however, is the line display for a Boolean data flow in bold black and blue, which is displayed above the colored line display.

  • Add Type: Adds a data type to the list

  • Remove Type: Removes the selected data type

Display of the font and button for changing the font.

Number of displayed digits

Number of displayed digits for floating-point numbers in the monitoring field

Example: value: 12.345; number of displayed digits: 3; display: 12.3

String length

Maximum length of string variable values in the monitoring field
