View: File Management
Function: The view is used to manage the files on the Automation Server and on the PLC. Files and folders can be downloaded, transferred, and copied from the controller or the Automation Server.

Display of the file directory on the Automation Server | The following information is displayed:

| Opens a list box for selecting the information which will be displayed for the files and folders of the Automation Server. |
PLC Files | |
Installed PLC | List box for the PLC. Displays all of the PLCs added to the Automation Server When a PLC is selected, the file directory of the PLC is automatically displayed. |
Location | Displays the path of the PLC whose files and folders are currently displayed. Default value: Root directory You can edit the path. Placeholders can be specified in the path (example: Clicking in this field displays the current folder structure. You can navigate between the folders. |

Buttons | |
| Refreshes the display with the current state of the PLC and the Automation Server |
| Creates a new folder on the PLC and on the Automation Server. |
| Opens a dialog for renaming the selected file or folder |
| Transfers the PLC files selected in the PLC Files and Server Files area to the download folder of your computer. When multiple files have been selected, they are compressed together in a ZIP file and then stored in the download folder of your computer. |
| Opens the default dialog for selecting the file(s) from the file directory of your computer which should be transferred to the PLC and the Automation Server. Then the selected files are displayed in a dialog and the operation can be confirmed or canceled. |
| Deletes the selected files and directories |
| Available only for Server Files. Opens the <file or folder name> Permissions dialog. Permissions for server objects can be granted in this dialog. For more information, see the following: Granting Permissions for Access to Server Objects |
| Copies the selected files and folders in the Server Files area to the selected directory of the PLC Files area (i.e., from the Automation Server to the PLC). |
| Copies the selected files and folders in the PLC Files area to the selected directory of the Server Files area (i.e., from the PLC to the Automation Server). |
