Function: Inserts a new block at the insert position

Call: Context menu in the LD editor

Requirement: A valid insert position is selected.

In the element bar, click the symbol. Then drag the cursor to the editor in order to display the possible insert positions. Drag the cursor to the desired insert position. When the insert position is valid, the cursor will show a plus sign. Release the mouse button there. Alternatively, you could also first click the symbol and then click the desired insert symbol in the editor. 

A block executes an additional function: for example, an IEC function block, an IEC function, a library function block, or an operator.

When a block is inserted, an empty block is created first. Then you assign a function or a function block instance to it. The assignment determines the layout, execution, EN/ENO mechanism, and the number of inputs and outputs.

Edge detection can be applied to input pins and is evaluated based on their signal state. Storage modifiers such as S (Set) and R (Reset) can be used for specific output pins. Negation is available for all input and output pins.
