Command: Log In
Requirement:
The target system (controller or simulated device) must be started.
The communication settings must be configured. For more information, see the following: Communication settings.
The application must be error-free.
Function: The command connects the application to the target system (controller or simulated device) and starts the online mode.
The online user management system will prompt you to enter your credentials when you log in. The Log In to Device <device name> dialog will open for this purpose.
Call:
Context menu of the Application item: Connect this application to the target system, even if it is not set as the "active application".
Button (
): In this case, the application which you have currently activated in the left list box will connect to the target system.Command Center (Ctrl+Shift+C): The application currently selected in the list box in the menu bar will be connected to the target system.
