Configuring Symbol Sets

Symbol sets consist of one or more symbols which are used to exchange variable values via an OPC UA Server.

Permissions to the symbols can be restricted for specific device user groups, thereby increasing communication security.

A symbol set is configured in the IEC Symbol Set Configuration object. After the symbol set has been loaded onto the device, you can define the permissions for specific device user groups on the Symbol Rights tab of the device editor.
