Signing

In the Visualization Element Repository dialog, you can sign an HTML5 element and manage its certificates.

Tip

HTML5 controls can be displayed only on CODESYS WebVisus. For security reasons, they should always be signed with a valid certificate, which must be available in the local Microsoft Certificate Store.

Procedure. Signing an HTML5 Control
  1. Click Tools → Visualization Element Repository.

    Tip

The command is available only when there are no projects open in CODESYS.

The Visual Element Repository dialog opens.

  2. Select the HTML5 Controls option.

In the Installed Elements field, you can see all elements which are already installed.

  3. Select the element to be signed and then click the Signing button.

The Elements for Signing dialog opens and displays the status of the signing with the certificate name and the timestamp server.

  4. Click the ... button.

In the Certificate Selection dialog in the bottom panel, the certificates which are available on your computer are listed so that you can select the certificate intended for the HTML5 control.

  5. Select the desired certificate, click the arrow icon (_visu_icon_arrow_up.png), and close the dialog.

The Certify Element dialog opens again.

  6. Specify the URL of a public timestamp server and click OK to confirm your entries.

Your visualization element is certified. The green icon (_visu_icon_signed_element.png) is displayed below Signature.
