Dynamic Management of Memory
The dynamic management of memory is done on the Device Variant tab of the Compound Safety PLC. It is used to provide different device variants which differ in size from safe and unsafe code. On the tab, one of these device variants can be selected and applied to the project, or downloaded to the controller.

Device Variant | List of the device variants which were defined in the configuration file When you select a device variant, the corresponding image and description are displayed, as long as the image and description have been stored in files. |
Apply to project configuration | In the device tree, the device variant is applied and displayed for the subordinate controllers. If the configuration has not been changed, then the button is disabled. |
Apply to target | The files stored for the selected configuration are downloaded to the controller. If no files are stored or if the configuration has not been changed, then the button is disabled. |
