Command: Stop – Safety

Function: The command stops the active application on the safety controller; the application is no longer run through; the stacks of the safe protocols continue to be executed.

With STOP, the safety functions (stacks) of the safe field devices are activated, thus placing the safe field devices in the safe state. The output channels of the safe field devices are marked as fail-safe values if the safety protocol supports this. The valid data of input channels continue to be copied into the mapped variables.

Call:

  • Menu: Debug

  • Context menu of the safety application object

Requirement: The command can be executed only in debug mode if the application is in the RUN state.
