Logical Exchange Mapping

Selection list where a Logical exchange device of the safety application can be selected.

The variables of the selected logical exchange device of the safety application are then automatically applied to the Logical Exchange GVL.

Use combined type

_cds_icon_checked.png: The individual Boolean variables of the connected logical exchange device (type WORD or BYTE) of the safety application are not mapped to Boolean variables, but to 1 variable with the combined data type, corresponding to the logical I/O of the safety application. The variable with the combined data type automatically gets the name of the logical exchange GVL.

Refresh

The current inputs/outputs of the mapped variables of the linked device are read and applied to the GVL list.

Note: If a change is made in the logical exchange device, then the logical exchange GVL will not be updated until the user explicitly executes the Refresh command.

Reset

The existing connection to an logical exchange device in Logical Exchange Mapping is released.

No direct entries can be made in the editor, which means that no new variables can be added or existing variables can be changed.
