String Table
Function: The String Table element, which is available by default in the package tree structure, is used to add language-dependent strings to the package.
After these strings are defined, they can be used in the configuration of various elements of the Package Designer. When localized texts are required, new languages can be added by means of the Add Language command.
During the installation of a package, localized files which correspond to the respective language are displayed. If localized texts or localized files are missing, then the "neutral" files or strings are used.
Id | General identifier for the string |
Neutral | String in the neutral language (example: English) |
Add Language | Opens the dialog for selecting a language code for an additional language. A column with the selected language code is added to the table. |
Remove Language | Opens a dialog for selecting the language code which is then removed from the table. |
