Function: The editor is used to create and edit a package.

Structure of the editor:
When you create a new package, the package tree in the view on the left side automatically contains the required objects: General, Component, String Table, File Table, Package References, Release Notes, and Third Party Licenses. Below, Component, Packages References, Release Notes, and TargetDirectoryDefinitions, you can use the Add command in the context menu to add more package elements. The options depend on the element in the package tree which is currently selected. It is possible to open an existing CODESYS project archive to add all contained components into the current package configuration.
New | Creates a new package The package tree with the required objects is displayed. |
Open | Opens an existing package file ( |
Save | Saves the current package to a package file ( Saving is possible only when the package configuration is error-free. |
Close | Closes the package which is currently open |
Check | Checks the validity of the current package Possible errors are displayed in the message view and have to be corrected before the package can be saved in a package file. |
Add | Adds a new Component object to the package |
Delete | Deletes the package which is currently open |
Signing | Opens the Signing Configuration dialog |
PKCS#12 file | Path to the PKS#12 file which is used for signing. |
Password | Password for the PKS#12 file |
TSA Timestamp URL | URL to a TSA timestamp server |
OK | On confirmation, the packages are automatically signed when they are saved. |
Delete | Deletes the signing setting. Packages are then no longer signed. |
