Dialog: Commit to Server (for remote debugging)

Function: The dialog controls that the boot application is downloaded to the PLC and whether or not the boot application is assigned to the Automation Server. Moreover, the dialog provides an option to end the debug mode and start the boot applications.

The dialog opens when you click Online→ Login in CODESYS while remote debugging.

Server URL

URL of the CODESYS Automation Server

Project name

Name of the project on the CODESYS Automation Server

Existing commits

The list box shows the commits that correspond to the current project state. Normally only one commit is displayed here.

  • Number of commits

  • (Create New Commit): The application is assigned to the server as a new commit. In this dialog, a commit message has to be specified for the commit.

Displayed when a project is downloaded to the PLC via remote access with online change or download, or when the (Create New Commit) entry has been selected in Existing commits

This message is displayed with the project on the CODESYS Automation Server.

Displayed when a project is downloaded to the PLC via remote access with online change or download, or when the (Create New Commit) entry has been selected in Existing commits

List of the files contained and referenced in the project

  • standard icon: The object is added to the project archive.

  • _cds_icon_option_deactivated.png: The object is not added to the project archive.

This list corresponds to the list in the Project Archive dialog of the Save/Send Archive command in the CODESYS help.

It is mandatory that the download information is added.

Commit Details

Displayed when an application is committed for the first time via remote access on the PLC of the Automation Server. This information cannot be modified.

  • Commit ID

  • Timestamp

  • Commit message

  • PLC

Assign Boot Applications on Server

Display the PLCs that are registered on the Automation Server

standard icon<PLC name>: The boot applications are downloaded to the selected PLC of the Automation Server.

End debug mode and start the applications

standard icon: After the boot applications are downloaded to the PLC, debug mode is ended and the boot application is started.

Cancel and Do Not Ask again

The dialog is canceled and the Assign Server Applications on Download command in the Online menu is automatically disabled.

OK

The application is downloaded to the PLC and assigned to the Automation Server if necessary.
