Online Mode

Note

Perform the following steps identically for both projects.

  1. Right-click Application.iecapp and select the Log In command.

  2. Enter your credentials if necessary.

    A Login successful notification will be displayed in the bottom-right corner of the CODESYS 4 window and the display in the top-right corner will change as follows:

  3. Open the PLC_PRG program in the editor.

  4. Click the _c4__start_application_play64px.svg button to start the active application (see the top-right corner in the CODESYS 4 window).

    The values of the variables defined in the previous steps will now be visible via inline monitoring.

  5. Add variables or function blocks as needed, for example also the variables of the Modbus nodes of the WATCHLIST of CODESYS 4.

    The projects will now be online, and Modbus communication should be running successfully.
